Key Work Areas
- Central contact point for South West
Consortium. Dealing with initial enquiries and responding/referring
on as necessary.
- Responsibility for overall TC
Business Plan. Developing and obtaining approval and resourcing for
business objectives and targets for each TC section, progressing
action plans and reporting upon and reviewing progress.
- Co-ordination of Regional
recruitment processes. Traditionally this has been associated with
recruitment for the DipPS programme. It has been conducted using an
Assessment Centre model and recruitment campaigns have resulted in
as many as 80 new recruits in the SW Region. Notable components of
the exercise have been; widescale advertising in local media,
promotion of opportunities within community based groups
representing diverse cultures, creation of application packs, the
sifting and assessment of applicants, and the notification of
contract offers.
- Provision of a suite of leadership
and management development programmes for aspiring, middle and
senior managers working in the NPS.
